Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer in our community?

Please join with us in making a difference to the lives of young people and their families affected by heart disease.

The Keep Young Hearts Beating committee was established after the death of our dear friend Anton, a father of two young children, who died unexpectedly from a genetic heart condition known as Long QT syndrome at the age of 33.

On 8th October 2011 we are planning a fundraising function for at least 250 invited guests to be held in the Grand Ballroom at Taronga Zoo Sydney.

We will be raising much needed funds for The Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology (Centenary Institute, University of Sydney) to help them conduct research into heart disease in those under 35. Critical to the success of this research are funds raised from non-government sources, such as events like this.

The funds raised from this ball will enable the researchers at the Anges Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology to continue to better understand heart disease, especially in the young, with the ultimate goal to develop new treatment strategies and prevent sudden death.

We applaud your willingness to support the efforts of Keeping Young Hearts Beating to help make a difference in our community.

All monies raised will go directly to The Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology.

Congratulations and a big thank you to Alex & Richard Molesworth for raising a massive $4,134 for Keep Young Hearts Beating by running the Sydney Marathon on 18th September 2011 !
